Michelle Carter has been released from jail, after spending just under a year behind bars.
January 23rd, 2020 Michelle Carter has been released from jail. Now 23, she was convicted in 2017 of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Conrad Roy III, who died by suicide in 2014 after filling his truck up with carbon monoxide in a K-Mart parking lot. The story has garnered international attention for the shocking texts the two sent to one another in the time leading up to his death.
HBO’s documentary, I Love You, Now Die: The Commonwealth Vs. Michelle Carter, gave an eye-opening look into the background of this case, with 1-on-1 interviews with both sides’ legal counsel, friends and family.
